A CITY GETAWAY WEDDING

Hardy’s Bay, New South Wales

There are moments as a photographer that feel just like magic… Sunsets that feel so mystical they’re almost unreal…  Couples that seem so perfect aside one another that it makes the day a breeze. That was exactly my experience capturing Courtney & Joel’s wedding day. These two know how to have a good time and every guest was plastered with a smile from the moment they arrived, until they were begrudgingly pulled from the dance-floor! 

We were blessed with the best weather a bride could hope for, with the gorgeous summer sun giving its all. The day was planned around the Killcare/ Hardy’s Bay area of the Central Coast, which is a short hour or so drive from Sydney and honestly one of the best kept secrets of New South Wales. If you wanted a getaway wedding that felt like a country estate, this is the place to check out! Their ceremony and reception was held at ‘Bells at Killcare’ – a quaint boutique hotel, restaurant and spa, with stunning gardens and forest surrounding the estate. We took some bridal party photos around the property, as well as some couple portraits and then ducked 5 minutes down the road to the wharf at Hardy’s Bay to capture the last golden light. 

It was a pretty spectacular day all around.
